The Daily Mail isn't quite as bad as the National Enquirer however, I consider it a boot-rag.

Facebook's business model is based upon selling your data. Nothing is for free.

I don't use facebook, twitter etc. I use private browsing mode, block cookies where possible, clear cookies and history after every session, no log ons or passwords are remembered. I block any tracking and have, at times, used a adblocker. I link nothing to any account. I use along with anti-virus, a programme called Malware Bytes. I use a separate email for ordering on the internet or where I do not want my personal email known. If I was ever inclined to use facebook, I would use a burner phone for the verification process or use throw away provided by a third party site. I don't use online banking. And periodically wipe the laptop etc...

Many of us here do not use our real name and I would assume that is allowed because on the whole we are a pretty respectful group, and long may it continue. I guard my privacy very vigorously - my motto is "Don't tell the man anything".

Bet you can tell I used to work in IT!
