I flew to texas to visit my adult daughter. while there, she burst into tears. On facebook, she reads her grandmother (my mother has died). My sister, with whom mom lived, did not want to call me, but she called the other 3 siblings who shared with their millennial children who live on facebook. If not for facebook, (which I am not a member), I never would have known of my mothers death. I called my sister, who agreed it was a bad way to find out, but she was hoping I would not find out until after the funeral. Oops, I found out anyway, and she looks foolish. Thanks Facebook.

I am in your camp! I try to keep a low profile also. I do not order on e-mail, etc.

I did the picture of my profile as what you would look like as a Hollywood Star. I knew better but was thinking what the heck. Well, now my spam folder emails have increased 300%. Everything is connected....the dots.

Was listening to Kim Komando on her regular Sunday radio show one day. She said you have to stay on top of your settings in FB in order to keep the public from seeing your account. She said as soon as you think you have everything checked in Settings the way you want, FB goes and changes things and there go your settings to their defaults until you fix it all again.

Here is a sad story! I found out my #1 DGD is having a little one in Sept. Guess what? I found out on FB!! Needless to say, I am pretty upset, dissapointed, peeved!! I'm pretty sure her other Nana was told before me! Isn't that sad?? Invention of internet was a great idea but it have gotten soooooo out of hand. No face to face, no telephone call (seldom do folks answer a call but do respond to texts)!!! I had to vent!!!!
