The same with rubber cement. When you finally go back to the bottle it is totally empty.
I have had similar issues with other chemical products that I have used over the years. You use a little bit of it and when you go back to it (in most cases years later), the product isn't the same or the bottle it came in is starting to disintegrate. Recently, I picked up a can of basting spray to use it for the first time and as I opened the plastic top, the whole cap exploded into a trillion little pieces. That was a big surprise and lucky that it didn't hit my eyes. I was dubious about the spray, seeing what happened to the cap, but it seemed okay. I had purchased this can probably about 8 years ago. A big lesson learned there...
