Janey thanks so much I checked out all those places..the supply place will be helpful! The gal with the 606 has trouble with stitiches and I haven't even got my machine to run yet so don't know about that. Her motor and foot pad smoked and only the motor on mine but it was impressive..ha Ummm should have tried the denatured alcohol before attempting to take the motor apart. I found a video on utube where this guy takes one apart but he skips what I need to know everytime...sigh. Thanks for the pointers and at least I know from the guys video that the rod with the fan does not come apart....but I can't remove the case around the motor to see about the brushes etc.
