Cindyb, no pattern. I mark the center of the pot holder and the center of the towel with my Frixion pen or chalk. I run a gather stitch along the line on the towel and gather it to fit the width of the pot holder. I use the zig zag multi stitch on my machine to sew the gathered line to the center of the pot holder. Once finished, I hunt through my button box for buttons that will go through the pot holder loop and hand sew them on.
I’ve tried other ways of making them, but didn’t like the way they turned out. This is the easiest way and they look great.. 🙂. Thanks
