....your responses have been greatly appreciated.....Today I have two more questions as I learn about applique scissors....
I was watching a Susan Carlson YouTube video today and she was using a pair of duckbill scissors with the duckbill blade at the top and the cutting blade at the bottom next to the fabric. I thought they were designed to have the duckbill down near the fabric and the cutting blade on top. With the duck bill down the base fabric is forced downward to keep it clear of the cutting edge. Cutting the other way around looked so clumsy.
1-Does anyone know the reason for the cut side down method?
2-Does anyone use duckbill scissors?
Your comments are greatly appreciate.
Thank you!
