What pattern are you suing for the quilt? Where will the background fabric be placed in the design?
In your first picture, the fourth fabric -gray with small dots print- might work too. While the black will be a great contrast, it might be harsh with the delicate yellow and white fabrics.
Do you have enough of the gray to use for the background? Can you make a sample block first and then decide?
