I think so, too. Neat that you have the manual. Singer has the manual, too https://www.singer.com/sites/default...ite-1514-x.pdf

I couldn't tell what the black knob on front was, so I downloaded the manual and found that it is the light. Singer had some machines in the early 60s that had that kind of front knobbly light. The Singer machines had sigzag and maybe cams.

Your machine should be a good straight stitcher.
