A girlfriend I’ve known since we were toddlers asked me to make her a quilt. So I made one as a Christmas gift. I had wanted to try out a lattice style pattern. The block construction cut off these huge corners. So as I sewed a square onto the rectangle, I added a seam a half inch from the the other. When I cut the corners, I had half square triangles. I played with the HSTs and left over rectangles and scraps on the back. I ended up liking the back better than the front.
Please forgive the quilting. I tried a diagonal seam and basting spray. Neither of which turned out beautiful.....but I made it with ❤️ and she loves the quilt. Thanks for looking.
