The directions say to draw a diagonal linen the wrong side of the squares and place them right sides together and sew on the drawn line. I can't figure out how to sew On the drawn line if the line is on the fold. I think I'm scared of this pattern!!
When I am in doubt about a pattern, I follow the directions, pin with straight pins and fold it back and see if it works. I think this is very similar to snowballing a corner. I bet you have cut a 2 whole square pieces. When you put those together and sew from corner to corner, you will then trim off the extra underneath the bottom and it will be perfect.
