My first thought was to take a square piece of freezer paper, fold it in half and in half again and start doodling , like we used to do in grade school cutting out snow flakes. Then iron it on to your fabric, cut it out , and then it's ready to be put on your 18" square of fabric. I think that would work. You'd probably only need two .
