Welcome. The image size limit is 1.9 MB I used to reduce by percentage, but have found an option in my Microsoft Office Picture Manager for "Web - Large (640x480 px)" that seems to work well for me.

I found on http://needlebar.org/main/makers/uk/index.html that S. Smith & Company was a "retailer" that sold sewing machine . However, it did not list Seymour as one of the machines they sold. Seymour was supposedly one of the names that Gresham & Craven made. I tried to search for a patent but wasn't successful... especially for a British patent. Frequently, from that time frame, the US patents on sewing machines generally had dates, which makes it a little easier (or successful) search results.
