I don't know - for sure - until after I have washed and dried a fabric how it will behave.

It it ends up being a dud - I would much rather know before I put it into an item than after!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bear, I couldn't agree with you more! That's why I started pre-washing. It's heart-breaking to make a quilt, wash it and discovered that you have a 2 x 4 plank right in the middle of it.
