Something needs to be adjusted. I know on my Japanese "Miracle" I had to adjust a screw to get it to follow the cams correctly. I really haven't sewn much with my 319 so don't know how the adjustment is made on them. Perhaps
Singer 319 in need of TLC might have something about adjusting this machine.
