I made a small ‘tester’ quilt following Kay Wood’s idea just to see what it was like. The quilt went together very quickly - if I remember rightly Kay say something in her video about using this method for a group of people to make charity quilts.

It is a good way to use up wide strips of fabric and wadding.

I did not like the fact that the seams were bulky - 2 layers of wadding and 6 layers of fabric.

The quilt edge was serged before binding and it made the binding process easier.
