Hi all,

I am working on a quilt where I want to put a series of 3 Patch Quarter Square blocks in the drop part of the quilt and my dimensions would have the block finish at either 7 or 8 inches. I've found some tutorials about how to make the blocks, but I was wondering if you have any formulas that would allow me to have the least amount of waste in the cut. For each block, the piece that is the 1/2 square will be the same colour (yellow), with the two "quarter square" pieces will be planned scrappy.

Any help you have would be greatly appreciated because I don't have a lot of the yellow fabric.
