Default Easy Way to Cut/Piece 3 Patch Quarter Square

Hi all,

I am working on a quilt where I want to put a series of 3 Patch Quarter Square blocks in the drop part of the quilt and my dimensions would have the block finish at either 7 or 8 inches. I've found some tutorials about how to make the blocks, but I was wondering if you have any formulas that would allow me to have the least amount of waste in the cut. For each block, the piece that is the 1/2 square will be the same colour (yellow), with the two "quarter square" pieces will be planned scrappy.

Any help you have would be greatly appreciated because I don't have a lot of the yellow fabric.

Why don't you post a picture (or a link) of what you are trying to do?
I'm making a quilt with this block and I made two blocks with
each pair of fabrics. They just look opposite but no waste.

Thanks! That is what I was looking for, including the link that shows how to make 4 at a time. Now I just have to figure out the formula for what size I need to start with, to end up at the final block size I want (for 1 Boston Block, or Y Block). I'm not worried about 2 of them being opposite since my plan is to have the quarter block side "scrappy" with the 1/2 block side all the same colour.
