Onebyone, I'm with you. When I quit my day job 13 years ago I quit more than a job. I quit wearing high heels...I quit wearing makeup...and I quit buying business appropriate clothes. I pay for everything I possibly can with my credit card (because I get 2% cash back) but always pay it off in full with the next statement. I love to quilt however I refuse to spend more than $9 or $10 a yard for fabric and not even that much if I can wait for a sale. Don't worry about what others think or say about your hobby, most of them are just jealous that they can't make a thing of beauty like the last quilt kit you put together.
