I have a chart I use a lot that has size /resize numbers. The chart says that you need to reduce to 84% so if you can print the 12" size and then scan/reduce by 84% you will get a 10" finish printout.
I use it to resize Dear Jane quilt blocks from 4" to 5". I couldn't do stuff that small.
