I find it hard to believe that quilters would just toss the used blades in the trash - we have enough disposal problems now! My usual pharmacy is very good about accepting the old blades but I do keep them in a container until I have several, and I also add dull sewing machine needles and pins that have lost their heads. I just take them along when I return a container of used diabetic syringes.
