when russet potatoes are on sale I buy a big bag and make mashed potatoes with butter,milk and seasonings. When done pack servings in freezer containers and freeze.When we need a side I put frozen container in microwave and heat stirring every few minutes until thawed and hot...we think they taste as good as fresh.
