I rarely go to JoAnn's in my town for several reasons, even though it is closer to my house than three other fabric shops. Mainly because every time I do go in and buy something, I leave wishing I'd driven right by. They rearranged everything about 6 months ago and their quilting fabric quality has degraded hugely. I won't even consider buying any quilting fabric from them now. At the cutting table you have to take a paper number in order to get waited on. The check-out line sends you thru a maze of ropes (similar to the roped off area in an airport before you go through security) to then wait for one of the 4 cashier stations. I've never been there when more than one cashier was open to help customers, it doesn't seem to matter how many people are waiting in line either. If you happen to want to wander around, they have the fabric stacked so high up, that you can't see through, to see what's on the far side. There are not enough workers to help you find anything. I haven't bought fabric from this store in several years, so have no recollection of how accurate they are with cutting a length of fabric.
