Hi Sewbeez and welcome from Southern California. Congratulations on your retirement! Now that I'm retired I feel like every day is a vacation day. When I first started to quilt, I learned because it was popular in wearable art. I thought -- then -- that people quilted because they couldn't sew clothes. Well, my arrogance was short lived. Now I make mostly art quilts and feel lucky that I have a hobby that takes my mind away from real life. Not to mention my stash that makes me feel a little guilty, but mostly lucky.
