Hi Sewbeez and welcome from Southern California. Congratulations on your retirement! Now that I'm retired I feel like every day is a vacation day. When I first started to quilt, I learned because it was popular in wearable art. I thought -- then -- that people quilted because they couldn't sew clothes. Well, my arrogance was short lived. Now I make mostly art quilts and feel lucky that I have a hobby that takes my mind away from real life. Not to mention my stash that makes me feel a little guilty, but mostly lucky. Glad you're here with us!

Hi there and welcome! A lot of us are still working on quilts from 2009 and before... ha! We have a UFO thread here (Un Finished Objects), and you see lots even older than yours. Hope you enjoy the board. Post your finishes in the UFO thread, too!

Welcome from sunny Southern California. Retirement is like having continual holidays -- after you get your closet, drawers, kitchen etc., organized. I am a very organized person and it took me a year and a half to get my house in order. But I loved having the time to do it.
