I purchased a Singer 201K from the United Kingdom, but didn't want to use an electrical converter on the machine. My husband replaced the European 220 volt motor with a new 120 volt Alphasew motor from Central Michigan Sewing Supplies for about $39. It was very easy to make the change and now I don't need the European converter. Here's the link:
