i read most of these complaints about joann's partly agreeing and partly disagreeing. i work for joann's and they watch us like a hawk about giving an extra THREAD more than what you ask for! they say this is 'shrink' but i think it is just good PR to be sure to give the customer what they pay for. we HATE the buy one/get one sales because they do give you the lower priced items free, and not a matching BO-GO. just make it 50% off and it is easier for everyone. some of the younger 'help' we have had hired at our location is because the store gets some kind of credit for hiring someone who is on welfare or food stamps or whatever. those of us who have been there for a while, hope for the best and brace ourselves for the worst. i get paid just over minimum wage with verrrrry poor benefits that I pay for. on black Friday it was hours and hours before i heard a 'thank you' from anyone. we got a new computer system over a year ago and there are still bugs in the system that we fight with every day. we are under a lot of pressure from 'corporate' over every little thing, and are being given conflicting rules to follow every time our district manager comes in. PLEASE don't lump us all together.
