I have some tins from other machines, but not a Singer tin. I originally thought that only German and China had early tins. Most of the tins that I have seen have hardware to hold the various pieces in. It also looks like perhaps yours has been relined rather than original fabric. It also looks like an match box partially opened to fill the space of bottom. Another tin with hardware can be seen at singer VS2 metal attachment box

Still a very neat box.
