One thing I'm definitely going to insist on for my next combo machine is a hard sided embroidery unit case. I have one for my D1, but the 400 didn't come with a case at all - that leaves the problem of what to do with it when sewing. I have plans of making a case with supports, but that's down on the list at the moment. For now I just wrap it up and put it on an out of the way shelf so it doesn't get bumped. Embroidery Units are delicate creatures, and a bump can throw them all out of whack. :cry:
For anyone with a Brother PE-700 or 750D - I made a machine cover using the pattern from Martha McFarland for the Designer 1 with the embroidery unit attached, and it fits my PE-700 very nicely. (No affiliation, just a happy customer!)
