juliasb, I'm in Michigan too! I don't have a Featherweight, but I have a Singer Red Eye. I love the way it sews, so smooth and creamy. If you want to work on the Farmer's Wife Pony Club quilt, use this thread to post pictures. Or the FW 1930's Sampler, or FW Bible Sampler. The FW Medallion Quilt (another sampler) has a dedicated thread.

The FW books are written by Laurie Hird, I bought the books in a large part because I really like reading the pioneer stories published in the FW Magazine, which LH quotes in her books. I encourage you to do one of the quilts-- such darling little 6" blocks with 40 or 50 little pieces! But the PC is 8" blocks, and easier. The PC is her first book, and the format she used for block construction improved with her later books.
