Oh really? Ugh! The only thing that I've downloaded from them was a Mark Twain story and a Jack London tale and they were OK. I guess you have to pick and choose.

I have a thing about ordering anything from Amazon. (Although, I think that Jeff Bezos is a financial genius.) Audible is run by Amazon, so I'm avoiding it. I've also found AudioBooksNow.com. The do let you listen to a short excerpt first, before you buy. It's also a club, like audible. I might check them out.

I have been been creating a physical, book library over the last year. We are building bookshelves in our vacation rental cottage and I want to have a nice library available to my guests. I also want some bookshelves in our own home, but I've been waiting 10 years for that to happen, so I'm giving up hope. Audio books are far more convenient and easier to store anyway. Plus, I can listen to them while I'm sewing.
