I took a picture while I was in the room today so you can see how I did the vinyl around the cutout
It's not the prettiest but it doesn't bother me since the function and cost savings tremendously outweighs any cares I might have about appearances. I've nicked the vinyl a couple times over the years with pins and such but a little scotch tape has fixed it easily.
