I congratulate you on a beautiful job. I am always turned off by pushy people and I have finally learned how to say "No". I have so many projects that I will have to live beyond 100 years to complete all of them and unless she was willing to pay for the quilting I would have handed the bag back to her and said "this isn't a good time for me."
