Advice for the mother of the bride. Yes, find out what you daughter wants.. Set boundaries of what she wants you to do to help or to just advise her with. Follow her lead. Don't take on so much you can't enjoy the fun of the day too!

One thing you would do now, it fits every bride/groom and every season....I bought a pretty box and started filling it with emergency items. Everything from needle and thread, black and white, scotch tape, tiny scissors, band aids, water, a white napkin so the bride/groom can have a protein snack and not shed crumbs down their front, gum, safety pins, clear nail polish, hair spray, tissues, baby powder.......you'll think of things between now and THE day. Each one of my children made use of what was in their Emergency box. It felt so good to tell them, sweetly of course, "Take a breath, I got this one covered, Relax. we will have your ready to walk the aisle in just a few minutes. I mended torn attendant's hems, bloody noses, fingers that got poked by floral wire, powdered feet that were swollen from the heat and a few more I can't remember. It was a last service to my child on their special day.
