Edited to add: The serial number will be in a range that will tell you when the range was issued. You can estimate the date by looking at the start date, your serial number and when the next series of numbers were issued. It's all a fun, challenging, estimating game. I chose to get a Featherweight with my birth year, as the serial number range, even though I am a December baby, and I know it is probably a year younger than me. "Ha! Ha!"
