I bought a Juki 5500N in April- an industrial straight stitch that Donna Jordan from Jordan fabrics uses. I just love it. I use it for all my long seams, borders, binding, etc. I still use my Singer 301 for small piecing. I think the Jukis are the best modern machine build wise. I love the insides and how durable they are. I am not a fancy stitch, computer loaded machine person. You will enjoy it.
I take D-Mannose supplements that my urologist recommended. It is a sticky sugar (not absorbed) that the bacteria sticks to and leaves your system. The bacteria have leggy structures that hang onto your insides and are hard to get rid of. The D-Mannose provides a good exit for them. I buy it on Amazon. Works for my 90 yr old mom also.
