Too, my understanding; once a dog has had pancreatitis it is prone for reoccurrence. Pancreatitis is so painful.
My little 7 lbs doggie had it this summer. She is 11 yrs. I was told the same. We give her mostly kibbles for a decade now the same. Not sure what happened but we were told she will be prone to it now. Sigh...
