Be accepting of your own learning curve!
My sister beats herself up every time she sees a quilt that is done by a quilter even slightly ahead of her in terms of skill. She forgets that others may have been quilting longer or more often than she has, and once their work looked beginner level as well.
Better to tell yourself "hey, I love that and will take the time to learn and master that skill"!
Have fun learning and refining new quilting skills...there are so many to explore and that is what makes quilting perennially challenging, interesting and fun.
