Wide flannel, double layer, tacked to the wall can be removed and washed if desired. I used large acoustic tiles on my wall then tacked flannel over them so I could use pins for testing multi layers of fabric too. (testing different backgrounds/sashing/additional colors with my intended fabrics). Truly is a design wall for me.
