My wife and I have seven quilts constructed by our grandmothers for us when we were young. All but one were stored safely and remains as when gifted. Now with mixed emotions, we have one that we used for a number of years and has suffered fraying on parts of the perimeter binding. Because we used it, it is the one that retains the greatest sentimental value.
At 78, we have four grandchildren and two great-grands and are thinking it is probably best to soon pass these to the grands and greats but would like to have the one repaired.
We live in Nebraska. I noticed in the response the suggestion of contacting a local "guild" for guidance. Are there any or other repair services located in our area or possibly Kansas or Iowa.
I will take the suggested photos and post.
