We had our one day retreat today. Despite less than perfect weather, 14 out of the 15 ladies attended--one from more than 100 km (80 miles) away. One lady decided to not share her cold with us and stayed home. We had a wonderful day, ate too much and probably sewed too little. But that was definitely ok.

We played Strip Poker using 2.5xWOF strips in brights. One lady went home with 70 strips of beautiful fabric. We had a word search sheet full of quilty terms. Our lunch was lasagna and ceasar salad with cheesecake for dessert.

But the icing on the cake was QuiltE's suggestion. Everyone printed a fact about themselves on a recipe card. I have never heard so much discussion about which of our group had a bright blue Pontiac as a first car, was a hockey cheerleader, had a mother who was born in Maine, knew how to shoot a rifle, had been married once before, had camped in every province of Canada....and the list went on!! There was so much laughter and astonishment when the answers were revealed. Thanks QuiltE. We have decided that this game is definitely a keeper!
