Our One Day Retreat needs your help!!

How about Bingo. We've done it at several retreats I go to at my LQS. Instead of numbers we use sewing/quilting terms and use Hershey's Kisses as markers. It allows you to play several ways and who doesn't love chocolate.

We had our one day retreat today. Despite less than perfect weather, 14 out of the 15 ladies attended--one from more than 100 km (80 miles) away. One lady decided to not share her cold with us and stayed home. We had a wonderful day, ate too much and probably sewed too little. But that was definitely ok.
We played Strip Poker using 2.5xWOF strips in brights. One lady went home with 70 strips of beautiful fabric. We had a word search sheet full of quilty terms. Our lunch was lasagna and ceasar salad with cheesecake for dessert.
But the icing on the cake was QuiltE's suggestion. Everyone printed a fact about themselves on a recipe card. I have never heard so much discussion about which of our group had a bright blue Pontiac as a first car, was a hockey cheerleader, had a mother who was born in Maine, knew how to shoot a rifle, had been married once before, had camped in every province of Canada....and the list went on!! There was so much laughter and astonishment when the answers were revealed. Thanks QuiltE. We have decided that this game is definitely a keeper!

How about the "Never Have I Ever " game? All the questions can be quilting related - from ones everyone has done (like sewed a whole seam with no bobbin thread) to less likely (sewed through your finger or went to a retreat without your power cord). You could give a prize to the person with the most points or the person with the least. Or both.

OMG GingerK ... THANKS ... I'm flattered!! Glad that it worked out SO well, and SO much new info was discovered about your friends. It will make for a lot of fun teasing and such as your friendships continue. Should be interesting as to what the next reveal edition might uncover. Bet some of them are already thinking of what they could stump you all next time!
Meanwhile ... did you get any sewing done?
Oh, please do entice us with a show and tell of your pretty productivity!

How about a game where person names 3 things about themselves. Two are true, other is a "lie". Or two are lies and one truth.
Baby photo game: match photo to member.
Yankee swap game.
If each member is bringing food, collect recipes beforehand and make copies for each member. (A mini cookbook).
Demonstrations: ask each member to demonstrate a technique or skill. (Can intersperse one or two between other activities).
