I soak my fabric yardage in liquid starch diluted 50/50. I hang it in the shower stall of a bathroom we don't use. I then iron it. It is like cardstock. So far all I have used is StaFlo and have plenty to last a long time. I can reuse the starch I use for soaking many times. No flakes if starch is completely dry. Terial Magic works to stiffen fabric when used as a spray. Some dilute it 50/50. It takes less of Terial then spray starch to get the fabric stiff. It's hard for me cut unstarched fabric.
