I also appreciate the more candid shots -- but I know some amazingly fastidious quilters... not me so much....
We were helping clean out the MiL's house and I picked up a couple of these over the door hangers. Sort of hard to get a good white on white picture, but I otherwise appreciate how they disappear. The fit well on the doors (slightly loose) and I can move them about for different placements.
This closet is for more long term storage, things like decorations, it shouldn't be a problem if it is occasionally blocked. I don't have many available walls for a design wall, but I have a project coming up that is a departure from my normal style and I will need a wall, and I will need it "long" term -- that is probably in the months category. Maybe just weeks, but certainly not just days.
This flannel sheet does not hold well enough, isn't bad with pins but that's not my goal. It is, however, a proof of concept and I think it will work with a different choice. The clips I got from the Dollar Store for large group of Bonnie Hunter pieces... I have plenty.
Fortunately I don't need a full scale view (my basement ceilings are low as well), I will just be working on about a 24 x 60" unit at a time -- the closet is 72" wide. Is a farm theme, I will have random sized pieces of fabric being crops and roads and such, animals, and there will be a few pieced blocks, one Large Barn (already done) and a number of smaller paper pieced animals. Maybe 7 pieced blocks total? Paper piecing is not one of my stronger skills and last time I actively worked on this I thought I'd get the hard blocks out of the way first. LOL that caused me to put it away for awhile and then that turned into a move, but here it is time to get out.
