I started a scrappy quilt after watching a YT video (shock!). I need 1.5" strips to create 6.5" blocks. Sewn together and placed on the diagonal. I took out both tubs of colorful scraps. As I cut 3-4 strips of each piece, I neatly folded the rest of the piece and discarded smaller pieces. I am organizing as I go. So much easier to use when not jumbled into a pile!
Furthermore, I separated solid scraps by color into smaller tubs lined-not stacked- along the wall. Also one for large batting pieces. I can toss on the lid that it needs to go inside and deal with it when I am ready.
