My office desk was spotless with everything in its place. My sewing studio looks like a bomb went off! I have a general idea of where things are though. I deep cleaned about 6 months ago and couldn’t seem to find anything when I needed it. So it’s my excuse for not cleaning more often. LOL shelves are color coordinated with yardage. FQ have a bin, or two, of their own and every thing else is cut into the sizes I use on a regular basis and placed in their respective bins. Since most of my quilts are scrappy, I do not color coordinate the cuts. I keep a very small trash can next to my cutting table. When making a project involving yardage, once the fabric is cut into the sizes required i place the leftovers in the trashcan. When the entire project is complete, I cut the trashcan fabrics into the sizes I use often. This has been the only thing that has worked to keep it all under control. Not that it’s ever totally under control.
