Chances are you have a Japanese 15 and the quality of those were sometimes better than the Singer. And it is not a "clone" it is a copy.

I have a 1948 Universal 15 that is my go to machine. I love the drop feed dogs and I do all of my FMQ on it. Instead of rewiring the motor I just pulled it off and tossed it in my treadle. I dont need no stinking electricity!! :lol: :lol: :lol:
