We've been making a "smoked salmon" dip since the 70s using canned salmon, liquid smoke, and cream cheese. When hubby went keto, we started filling the small colored sweet peppers (cut in half) with the mix, and then dipping the top in the nuts and parsley mixture -- has been a big hit at potlucks!
edit: we typically use walnuts, not pecans, and sometimes the hubby does a few in jalapenos.
