Butterflyblue, it seems that you are trying to do so much all at the same time: reducing stash, organizing what is scattered in different storage containers, cleaning out books and clearing away saved on-line patterns and using what is at hand and not shopping for more. Take a breath and be kind to yourself. Reserve a bit of time to enjoy your fabric and love of quilting. Making those Christmas stocking could well be a moment of refreshing and yes, indeed you used stash rather than buying more fabric. Three cheers for you.

From your photo it looks like you are experiencing some success! Your space is so neat and tidy. Go make something using stash and a pattern that you have saved. A goofy discovery I found with my saved on-line patterns that makes it easy to hit the delete button is......I found I would save a pattern because I liked the colors but the pattern is too putsy or difficult or time consuming or a repeat of another pattern from another source. Delete.

Smile and revel in your success a little bit at a time. It took time to collect your stash and it may well take some time to clear away what you determine is a burden not a joy. No need to ask how I know. I have walked or should I say am walking the journey too.
