There is a wide range of quality in every brand of cotton fabric. Often, price is no indicator. My first quilts were all made with the Fabricland brand (again, this is a Canadian company and I would be amazed if anyone found their branded product in a US store) because I really didn't know about 'quilt stores' and since there was one in my nearest town, it was convenient.
The two main reasons that I do not shop online (unless absolutely necessary) is being able to 'see' the colour and 'feel' the quality of the fabric.
