Haven't been to a Fabricland for a long time now!
I used to frequent FL to feed my sewing/quilting habits! At one time the FL branded fabrics were pretty much as nice as the brand names, while beating them on the price. Then later, it got that all fabrics in FL seemed to be highly/overly priced, unless you got a good sale or paid dearly for their member discount card. It just wasn't enticing anymore. Then I noticed a downturn, with the FL brandeds quality going downhill. So perhaps, others thought the same ... and why the two stores closest to me closed?
@ElaineCovid ... Len's have made their business via buying sellouts of fabrics from anywhere and everywhere! So no surprise that you might see Fabricland and Joann branded yardage in their stores. Here's a hint for better value at Len's ... if you see more than one bolt of the same fabric, check the pricing of each of the bolts. Depending on when/where they purchased the fabric, two of the same may be different in price. I used to be the nice-guy and would go for the bolt with the least on it ... until a store clerk pointed it out to me!! Same things go for stock in the rest of the store!
